***************************************** All of the classes listed below are $30.00 plus supplies unless otherwise noted in the class description. (Lunch is included) Classes will be held from 10:00-3:00 on the day listed. ********************************************** COLOR and FABRIC SELECTION WORKSHOP: Fri.- Aug. 13 OR Thur. - Oct. 7 Taught by Donna Thomas - Nationally known teacher, designer and author Donna will be visiting us from her home in the Kansas City area to teach her popular Color and Fabric Selection Workshop- Donna will take the mystery out of picking fabrics for your next project. She will review how to choose fabrics for quilts based on three main concepts: value, hue, and variety of scale of print. After going over basic concepts, theories, and approaches - each student, with Donna's help, will actually pull fabrics for a quilt using one of the approaches presented. They will as a group, not individually, contribute to the pulling of fabrics for each class member in turn according to her vision. This will give each student experience working with different colors, plans and types of quilts than they may try for themselves. You will spend the day playing with fabric. According to the students who have taken the class previously, this was one of the most valuable classes they have ever taken. They gained confidence in choosing fabrics for the projects they would like to make. ********************************************** *FUN WITH FLOWERS : Fri. - Oct. 22
