Betty New is coming back! Thur. March 22 Have you been “WOWED” by machine quilting that you see in quilt shows and magazines? Are you ready to add more pizzazz to your free motion quilting? If you are a confident free motion quilter and are ready to move forward, this is the class for you. Betty will teach many designs that do not require any marking, and some designs that do. Learn a sampling of designs from leaves and feathers to swirls and fillers, plus more techniques to improve your free motion skills. We will also discuss threads, marking, and how to choose designs for your quilt top. Class Fee: $40 PRE-REQUISITE: You need to have taken a basic free motion quilting class prior to this class. **********************************************

Learn to use the tools of today to make this great project. We will cover proper cutting, piecing and pressing. Make a tablerunner or throw or baby quilt while learning the basics of quilting. A great V-Block ruler project, Victorious is a beautiful traditional quilt that uses the V Block units to create stars with the added interest of the diagonal chains of small squares tying the stars together. The V Block units are also used to construct the diamond pieced border, providing a very different look from the stars in the center. ********************************************** MACHINE QUILTING BASICS: - Wed. You will be AMAZED at the easy process of making this beautiful quilt. You may choose a simple 2 fabric quilt (like the blue and cream above) or 2 colors with assorted prints (like the red and cream above) or the colorful "SueNami" quilt (the larger quilt shown above - it also includes a pieced border). ********************************************************************* KNITTING BASICS: - Tue. Jan. 31 or Sat. Feb. 11 Katha will guide you through the basics of making a scarf for the perfect one-of-a-kind gift or make one just for yourself. OTHER SPECIAL EVENTS: EQ BASH - Katha will be teaching this informative workshop We are going to start another Beginner EQ Basics class. It will be the same day of the current EQ Bash sessions. The Beginner class will be at 10:00 and the EQ Bash at 1:00. We will be learning the basics of quilt design using EQ7. Bring your laptop loaded with EQ7 and we will be playing designing games to learn the features of this wonderful quilt design program. BACK TO THE EQ7 BASICS - 10:00-12:00 - Fee $10 EQ BASH - 1:00 - 3:00– Fee: $10 Come play with us! We will be playing design games to learn how to use the features of the EQ7 program. We will be meeting on the 2nd Fri. of the month The next dates are: Fri. - Jan. 13 and Fri. - Feb. 10 30’S CLUB We have been having a great time at our monthly 30’s club. Learning about the history of quiltmaking in the 1930’s is one of our key goals. We meet on the 2nd Tue. of each month. We offer your choice of 2 different times for the free club meeting. Daytime club will meet at 2:00p.m. and evening club will meet at 6:00p.m. Meeting dates: Jan. 10 and Feb. 14 Block of the Month – presented at each meeting Refreshments will be served Door Prize drawing at each club meeting Optional project of the month patterns will be available RSVP to hold your space
"Who ya gonna call?" STASH BUSTERS! Join us for an evening of quilting fun. Each time we meet, you will get a free pattern for a scrappy quilt perfect for reducing your stash. Bring your STASH BUSTER project for show and tell and we will serve some "sweet treat". We meet on the 1st Thur. of each month. Our next meeting will be Thur. - Feb. 2 at 6:00pm RSVP to reserve your spot.

65" X 82" Marilyn’s whimsical snowman quilt will be a fun, monthly appliqué project. Kits will include the fabric needed and the pattern. Cost: $15.00 per month includes all the fabric you will need for the top. 1930's MYSTERY QUILT WHOLE QUILT KIT AVAILABLE!
Approximately 62" X 62" Just a few of the blocks and spacer pieces for the 2011 quilt. It's not to late to join us! The 2011 Quilt will be
a sampler featuring various sizes of pieced and appliqued blocks. (You may
choose your favorite applique method.) It will be somewhat of a mystery
quilt, as we will add some of the blocks from the designers we are
discussing in 30's Club, as well as blocks within the various
"themes" we use during the year. I already know the basic layout and the
quilt will finish approximately 62" X 62". Each month your kit will
include the fabrics and patterns needed for the block (or group of blocks
for the month.)

Class Policy: Half of the class fee is required as a deposit to register and the remainder is due on class day. The deposit is refundable if you cancel more than one week in advance.
