Doves of Hope?by Deb Tucker?is a twist on a traditional block titled Dove in the Window. A small dove block is actually nestled inside a large dove block to create a quarter section for each 19?? block. Add sashing and cornerstones to those quarter sections and you have a great, interesting block. Put it on point, and that Dove really soars!

This free pattern is included with the instructions that come with the tool and it's a great way to learn all the basic units made with this versatile tool! The tool is used to make basic wedge blocks as well as wedges with a star in them. Of course as always with Deb's tools, you will trim strategically through the process to achieve precision.

We will be using the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool to make the units needed for this Twirly quilt. There are several variations of blocks that could be made using these Lemoyne units and we will explore all the possibilities in class.
