BEGINNER Friendly! - Quilting 101. - Thur. Aug. 18 OR Sat. Sept. 10 We will be using Alex Anderson's new book, Make your FIRST Quilt. It features a basic block that can be arranged in many different settings for a great first project. The class price includes the book as well as the instruction fee. We will be working through the steps in the book to learn the basics of quilt-making. Shown below is the cover of the book we will be using. Watch for the picture of our version of the project.

Tumbling Triangles - Mini Class: Wed. Aug. 24 9:30-12:00 OR Sat. Aug. 27 - 1:00-3:30
This fun project from the Running With Scissors gals is SO easy to do. The V-Block Trimmer is used to make a unit that in the past was quite a challenge (at least to do it well). Now we simply make the unit a little oversized - then trim to precision! The whole quilt is made with just 2 fabrics and strategically arranged V-Block units. It is so simple that we are going to have a "Mini Class". Just a little over 2 hours will have you well on your way to this simple project! Since it is a Mini Class, it will also have a Mini Price - just $10. You will have your choice of sizes for the project from tiny to a large throw size.

Stained Glass: Sat. Aug. 20 - Pam's latest published pattern - as seen in the current Quilting Quickly, this scrappy quilt (shown on the left below - MAGAZINE COVER ON THE RIGHT) starts with 10" pre-cut squares. (Of course you can cut your own squares). The simple units in this block are a breeze to make with the Tucker Trimmer for precision with ease. We have kits available if you would like one let us know.

Cleopatra's Fan - Wed. Aug. 31 OR Thur. Sept. 8 OR Sat. Oct. 15 - Ready to try your hand at curved piecing? The gentile curves in this block make a great starting curve project to learn precision stitching with beautiful results. In class we will be working on a 4 - block project or you can just use those 4 blocks for your starting point. The layout possibilities are endless!

Here is another curved piecing project for you to try. It is very forgiving as you sew the curved units then trim to size using the Quick Curve Ruler. Easy as can be!
